Dove Church Wilmington (DCW) is a cell-based family of believers in the Lord, Jesus Christ. The vision that the Lord has placed in our hearts is one of meeting the needs of those in our body, while also reaching out to the needs of others in our local community and the world. This can be accomplished in various ways. Our primary focus is the ministry of small groups (cells) that meet in various homes throughout the week. These cells enable ministry to go forth through individual relationships, outreaches, and discipleship. In this way, DCW is on a journey to become “A Church Without Walls.”
Our cells gather together every Sunday morning at 10:00am for a corporate “celebration,” which includes praise and worship, testimonies, encouragement and a message from one of our pastors or elders. Come as you are - we are casual and comfortable!
In keeping with the first and greatest command (Mark 12:29-31), Christ’s great commission (Matthew 28:18-20) and our God-given vision, we endeavor to:
- Worship and honor God in our daily lives and when we gather together
- Make and equip disciples who walk in obedience to Christ
- Make meeting the spiritual and physical needs of our community a priority
- Submit to Christ and reflect His character as we obey His commands
- Restore the wounded and discouraged
- Foster the unity of the Spirit among the entire body of Christ
We are under the apostolic covering of DOVE Christian Fellowship International (DCFI), who provides direction and oversight to cell churches and missionaries throughout the world. DCFI is widely recognized in the Christian community as a leader and pioneer in small group ministry and church planting.
